Deja Vu?

The White Sox agreed to terms on a minor league contract with outfielder Scott Podsednik, one of their 2005 World Series heroes who was recently cut by Colorado.

all the recent machinations over center field with wise, anderson, owens, and now podsednik have been to try to get more offense out of center field.

with this lineup why not go with the best defender?

why?, because pitching and offense wins baseball games.

pitching and defense R.I.P.

I agree. Leave Anderson in CF. There is enough offense to carry him and I think he could hit .280 if they let him.

Ozzie preaches defense!

he preaches it but he does not practise it.

its pitching, offense, and then defense in order of importance for winning baseball.

i think that he could hit in the 240 to 250 range with some power and steal away one or two hits a game.

This is the problem with the Sox. They need to let go of 2005 because it's long gone. Bringing back this guy shows they can't.
This guy spent seven years in the minors before he was brought up for 5 games in 2001 by Seattle. There was a reason for that.
Why did the Sox get rid of him in the first place? Why did the Rockies release him? He's pretty much done.
There is a problem with your minor league system if you need him.

Picking up Podsednick doesn't hurt anything. If you remember we got him from Milwaukee.

Injuries were why we released him. Why has Hoffpaur been in the minors so long?

Can't get over 2005? We let Joe Crede go didn't we. The only way Pods gets here is injury.
